Protecting Against Climate Change

Back to Case Studies

Our climate action is hyper-local. Employees regularly gather to clean up the streets, waterways, and public spaces around our offices, removing plastic and waste before it reaches drains and rivers. Each drive is paired with a short workshop on reducing waste at home.

Protecting against climate change can feel abstract, so at Maxed BPO we chose to make it tangible. Instead of only talking about global targets, we started with the streets right outside our own doors — the ones our employees walk every day.

Our clean-up drives bring together dozens of volunteers armed with gloves, bags, and a lot of energy. Together they clear plastic bottles, wrappers, and discarded waste from pavements, drains, and green spaces before that rubbish can wash into local waterways and out to sea.

Every drive is paired with a short, practical workshop. Volunteers learn how the waste they just collected connects to flooding, marine pollution, and greenhouse emissions, and they leave with concrete tips for cutting single-use plastic in their own homes and teams.

Over time, the drives have sparked a wider culture shift inside the company. Offices have added better recycling stations, teams compete good-naturedly to reduce their waste, and employees have started organising their own neighbourhood clean-ups outside of work. Small actions, repeated often, have added up to a genuine change in habits.
