Tree Planting Sessions

Back to Case Studies

Several times a year, Maxed BPO staff volunteer their weekends to plant native saplings in areas affected by deforestation. What started as a single team outing has grown into a company-wide reforestation habit, with employees returning to the same sites to track how their trees are maturing.

When Maxed BPO first organised a tree planting session, the goal was modest: get a handful of teams outdoors for an afternoon and put a few dozen saplings in the ground. What we did not expect was how quickly it would become one of the most requested activities on our community calendar.

Working alongside local environmental groups, our people now plant native species chosen specifically to survive the local climate and support pollinators. Employees are taught how to dig properly, space the trees, and mulch them so the saplings have the best possible chance of taking root.

The most meaningful part is the return visits. Teams come back to the same plots months later to weed, water, and measure growth — turning a one-day event into a long-term commitment. Children of employees often join these follow-up trips, which has quietly turned reforestation into a family tradition for many of our staff.

Beyond the environmental impact, the sessions have become a genuine team-building ritual. Colleagues who might only ever meet on a call get to work shoulder to shoulder in the dirt, and they come back to the office with a shared sense of having built something that will outlast any quarter.
